Alstom Set to Win EU1.5 Billion SNCF Train Order, Figaro Says

July 2 (Bloomberg) -- Alstom SA is poised to win an order for 100 train coaches valued at about 1.5 billion euros ($2.1 billion) from France’s national rail company, beating Canadian rival Bombardier Inc., Le Figaro reported, without citing anyone.

On June 26, Alstom Transport and Attiko Metro, operator of Athens metro line 2 and 3, signed a $21 million contract covering the supply of iconis (automatic train supervision system) and PIS (passenger information system) for the extension of those metro lines.
